For the past 30 years we’ve been blessed to witness her greatness. Breaking barriers as the 1st African American to Win an Academy Award for Best Costume and giving Marvel their 1st Win as well (Black Panther.) In this interview we discussed her amazing career, her reaction to when she got the call to style Coming 2 America, what it’s like working w/ Eddie Murphy, her favorite transformation to create and recreate on this film and advice she would give to any aspiring black costume designers.
